The New Hampshire Wildlife Federation is devoted to the preservation and protection of hunting, fishing, and trapping and the conservation of and access to fish and wildlife habitat and resources.
To accomplish our goals, we actively support sound management of the resources we use, and assume our share of the stewardship of our natural resources, within the law and respecting the rights of others. We accomplish these goals through a variety of activities including but not limited to; Outreach to other organizations and clubs within the state, education activities to increase public awareness, through attendance at public outdoors shows to increase awareness, and other activities that directly or indirectly further our mission. Tough decisions are facing New Hampshire’s natural resources in the new millennium, the ever-increasing threat from the anti-hunting and fishing groups, and reductions in available habitat, we need to work together in order to carry on the legacy of our land. Here are some of the benefits you can enjoy as a member of The New Hampshire Wildlife Federation:
Newsletter – Receive our quarterly “New Hampshire Wildlife” providing information important to all sportspeople in our state.
Legislation – We represent you, the sportsperson, at the state’s legislative body. We make sure your voice is heard at the state Capitol.
Education – As a prime sponsor of Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) we help teach people about the joys of hunting, fishing, trapping and being a responsible steward of our natural resources. We also support many youth related educational activities such as Camp Barry.
Conservation – We support land conservation programs and wildlife habitat creation across the state.
Scholarship – The NHWF maintains a scholarship program for college students interested in conservation disciplines, which are important to furthering our cause.
