The New Hampshire Wildlife Federation (NHWF) has had a strong start to the 2025 Legislative Session. Our team reviewed over one thousand pieces of legislation and identified 44 key bills to monitor throughout the year. These bills cover a wide range of topics including conservation governance, OHRVs, firearms, habitat protection, and more.

Our legislative team is also keeping a close eye on the state budget to ensure that revenues generated by New Hampshire’s sportsmen and women continue to fund appropriate projects and support the mission of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. Additionally, engaging with elected officials has been a top priority. With a new Governor and significant turnover in the legislature, NHWF has dedicated considerable time to educating officials about our organization and the importance of protecting our sporting heritage.

Although the legislature will wrap up its work by the end of June, NHWF will remain active in Concord. We will continue reviewing future legislative proposals, monitoring the Fish and Game Commission, and engaging with legislators and other key stakeholders. Bill filing for the 2026 legislative session begins in early fall, and NHWF will be ready to hit the ground running once again.
