The New Hampshire Wildlife Federation Action Fund
NHWF works to promote the preservation and protection of hunting, fishing and trapping as well as the conservation of and access to fish and wildlife, their habitat and resources. The action fund was created in order to help with the costs associated with legislative efforts. These Fund enable the NHWF to work with their lobbyists team to develop and advocate for legislation, regulations, government programs and public policies in support of the wise and responsible use, scientific management, propagation and conservation of wildlife, its habitat and resources. This Legislative session is promising to be a busy one with the following bills on our radar:
HB 1115 – relative to the discharge of a firearm in the compact part of a city or town
HB 1571 – relative to the qualifications for the members of the fish and game commission
HB 1504 – establishing a committee to study prohibiting recreational trapping
SB 469 – relative to shooting ranges
SB 588 – relative to wanton waste of an animal and prohibiting wildlife killing contests
